Raising A Perfect Puppy
Here is some simple rules for housebreaking a puppy.
- Do not leave food and water down for free feeding.
- Always take a puppy out after eating, playing or awakening.
- If you don't have a small area to confine your pet in while not around, use a crate.
- Always use the same command
- Always use the same door to go out.
- Do Not discipline when you find accidents.
- If they defecate on the floor, pick it up and take it outside with your pup and put it in the yard and say "good dog".
- While treats are good for trying to train when they potty where they should, a good praise of approval by petting and saying good (dogs name) always work too.
- Do not paper train if you want them to go outside, that is very confusing to a dog.
- Be diligent about this for no shorter time then 2 weeks, that should do the trick.
